How can we catalyze healthy culture across the generations? How do ecovillages serve as fertile ground for youth and elder collaboration in wider culture? A group of people passionate about intergenerational community connection gathered this past weekend at an event called Ecovillage Pathways, an annual event in it’s 5th year.

ECOLISE is a testament to the desire amongst disparate local groups and their regional, national, and international networks, to nature their collective energy in order to increase their visibility, improve learning and exchange, and influence policy making as European and national levels.

Imagine having meetings with your coworkers while swimming in blue tropical waters… joining a work retreat where the agenda gives equal importance to business strategy and authentic relating games… conversing with company founders, under a star-filled sky, about how our organization can do the most good for the future of humanity…

The function of the nomad is to connect isolated groups through the sharing of goods, services, stories and, primarily, ideas. In the digital age, we still have our nomads, but their essential function has largely been replaced by the tiny gadget you are likely reading this article with.

The idealized “summer camp” has been enshrined for decades in movies. It serves as an adolescent’s wild escape from the boring confines of suburban neighborhoods and primary school, at least until “growing up” happens. But what if the fleeting joys of summer camp never ended? What if you could live in summer camp?​

I pray for a lifelong journey of service, growth, and pursuit of bliss. I hope to leave this world better than I found it – the soil richer, community more whole, self more aware.
